Understanding Life

“The Only Constant in Life is Change.”

Heraclitus

The world is changing with each second whether it is living or nonliving. Change is the fundamental nature of the universe and at the moment we do not have tools to stop nature from evolving, improving or changing. If we try to resist change, if we try to be an immovable object we will be causing harm to ourselves, because if COVID pandemic has taught us anything it says nature is much more powerful than individuals.

As an individual or as a part of society we rarely are open to change. We are hesitant to step out of our comfort zone. This has developed us into a species which does not believe in taking risk, learning from mistakes and accepting the change. And then at times of failures we thought of to undo the change, turn back the clock , make things go back to how they were. But most of us are naïve, this is not how life works. We have control over our decisions not over time. It is moving, possibly at a different pace for different individuals but certainly evolving.

Yeah, sometimes the change is painful, sometimes it makes us sad and sometimes it leaves us aghast, but we have to face it. Life is nothing but a process to experience the changes around us and within ourselves. I believe each one of us has a quota of good and bad phases that we have to come across in life. In the end all we can do is to experience them and learn from it.

We just need to keep growing, keep the drive inside us alive and should overcome the resistances that come in the path. The glory in living lives is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. It is good to make mistakes, do make mistakes, learn from them, and when life will hurt us, will give us pain, we are expected to rise like the phoenix from the ashes. No one chooses pain, all of us choose life and it is a part of life, it does happen to everyone, we need to remember the pain. This hurt or pain is good. It makes us realize that we are out of the cave. The cave of the comfort zone, the dark cave where we have left our feelings. Embrace the change and be the change you want to see, because life is much more than that of just surviving.
